Financial support
The WDA has provided five fully funded Congress registrations, including attendance at the Congress dinner.
The GdO provided 1000 euro to support Congress attendance, this was divided into two awards.
Process
Grants were allocated by a sub committee of the Programme Committee. As always this was very competitive.
Financial support for student member attendance has been provided by the GdO and by the SOL (Sociedad(e) de Odonatología Latinoamericana).
The congress logo is a stylised Anax imperator male to represent Philip Corbet’s pioneering work on seasonal regulation in this species. Philip’s Ph.D research was carried out in the Zoology Department at the University of Cambridge under the supervision of Vincent Wigglesworth, the renowned insect physiologist. Philip was his only ever ecology student.
