ICO2021 Paphos, Cyprus: 20–25th June 2021
ICO2021 will be held in the resort town of Paphos, on Cyprus, an island country in the Mediterranean. Paphos offers great value for money: the Congress venue will be Neapolis University, which has modern facilities and onsite accommodation for €50 per night including breakfast (€75 for double occupancy). Budget hostel accommodation for students is also available close by, as are restaurants and other tourist facilities.
The Congress fee will be €320 for full-paying delegates, and €160 for students, with everything (cocktail reception, mid-congress field trip, Congress shirt, refreshments and lunches on Congress days) included except for the Congress Dinner.
The Congress will open with an evening cocktail reception on Sunday 20 th June and close with the Congress dinner on Friday 25 th June. There will be an optional three day post congress field trip – details to announced later. Booking will open in June 2020.
Cyprus has a modest 38 species of dragonflies, but a unique mix of European, Asian and African species, and is the only place in Europe where the rare Ischnura intermedia (Persian Bluetail) occurs and one of the few places in Europe where Anax immaculifrons (Magnificent Emperor), Europe’s largest dragonfly and Epallage fatime can be seen.
